| Scope Of Works
|
| The main objective of this department is to provide
staff assistance to the Equipment Control Committee (E.C.C)
and execute the following tasks under the supervision of the
Minister for National Planning and Economic Development. |

(1) Collecting the statistical data of machinery
and equipment of state sector. |
| |
(2) Co-coordinating in drawing the state budget
in equipment sector by scrutinizing machinery and equipment
submitted by government organizations, to help accomplish national
economic plans. |

(3) Inspecting the maintenance, repair and
proper utilization of state-owned machinery including vehicles,
locomotives, vessels etc. according to the direction of Equipment
Control Committee (E.C.C) and organizations of the state power.

| Purpose of Organization |
|
It was formed to lay down policies and directives and to
execute the maximum capacity and full utilization of state-owned
equipment.

| Status |
The committee shall call for meetings when
necessary to fulfill the purpose mentioned above. The Secretary
of Equipment Control Committee is the Director General of
Central Equipment Statistics and Inspection Department.

Reference |
| |
(1)To collect equipment statistical
data from departments, boards and corporations. |
| |
(2) To inspect utilization of those
equipment and to issue necessary directives. |
| |
(3)To transfer the equipment which
are not in use or surplus to other organizations that are in
need of those equipment. |

(4) To issue necessary directives
for the proper repair and maintenance of equipment of the government
organizations. |
| |
(5) To give recommendations and advices
for the procurement of equipment of government organizations. |
| |
(6)To inspect and access the value
of the equipment those are beyond economical repair. |
